All new Kia electric Soul EV is ready to debut in 2020. Although, Kia released it all new third-generation soul this year only. But the new Kia electric soul retains its look from predecessor with enlarged battery power and more powerful electric motor.

Battery Capacity On Kia Soul EV

The last soul EV is having a battery capacity of 30 KWh. However, the new Kia is having double the battery capacity of the predecessor about 64KWh. Also, the front mounted motor will produce 201 horsepower and 291 lb-ft of torque. Earlier, this is about 109 horsepower and 210 lb-ft.

Virtual Aladdin

Kia added ” Driving the all-new Soul EV will feel like a virtual Aladdin”. In addition, there is a new independent rear suspension. Which the company quoted as  “new magic carpet ride”. However, EPA has already tested the all-new Soul EV battery. This Kia all-new Soul EV will be the lowest budget car in electric cars segment.

Driving Modes On The Kia Soul EV

The Kia Soul EV will be available in four driving modes: Eco, Eco+, Comfort and Sports. This adjusts the powertrain system. The HVAC system suits more for driving conditions and the efficiency. Also, there are four setting options available in the regenerating-braking system which were controlled by paddle shifters. However, an automatic option of setting the regen is there in Soul EV.

Availability & More

While comparing with the latest Soul EV the new EV is having its own front and rear bumpers. Also, the charging socket and more closed-off grille. The LED lights are also implemented in the chrome front unibrow with an aerodynamic styled 17-inch wheel. Although, this is having the same active-safety features that of the third generation Soul EV. The company has not yet declared anything about the pricing. Also, the new Soul EV will be only available in dozen states: California, Georgia, Hawaii, New Jersey, Oregon etc.
