Honor Play 3E Design & Build Quality Review
The smartphone is built with hard materials that can be seen on other low-ranged or similarly priced smartphones. Furthermore, plastic is used to build the smartphone and no doubt the Honor Play 3E is an average looking phone that comes with durable build quality. Honor Play 3E comes with a plastic back If you are looking for a smartphone that looks awesome and draws other people’s attention to your phone, then definitely this is not the phone you are looking for.
The design is rock hard plus the handset is pretty slim too. The handset can easily handle accidental drops as the plastic material is light & does not put too much pressure on the internals. However, minor scratches could occur. In Conclusion, definitely one should go for the Honor Play 3E if their budget is low and need full value. Let us look for Pros & Cons for the Honor Play 3E Design & Build Quality –
- Hard & solid build device
- Easy to hold
- Not slippery & Durable
- Not so premium looking phone

Honor Play 3E Display Review – Poor
Being a low budget smartphone, the Honor Play 3E comes with a display size of 5.71 inches and a resolution of 720 by 1520 pixels. That gives a total of 295 PPI. However, display size is good enough for entertainment purpose. But you may find bad viewing angles when you watch movies at an awkward angle. The display technology on the Honor Play 3E is IPS LCD display. Colors look just OK, not as punchy as one would expect.
There is some sort of color shifting, but that is not a huge issue considering the price of the smartphone. Screen brightness is good enough for most conditions. However, you may encounter issues while viewing in direct sunlight. In conclusion, not a great display for entertainment purpose but is good enough considering the price it offers on. Let us look for the Pros and Cons of the Honor Play 3E Display –
- Firstly, fairly good display size
- Also, screen brightness is good enough
- Finally, good resolution display considering the price
- Average viewing angles
- And colors look flat and not as vibrant
- Not an idle smartphone for entertainment purpose

Honor Play 3E Performance Review
Honor Play 3E being a budget smartphone comes with a budget processor, the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset. However, the phone is surprisingly fast for the price it offers. Apps open quite fast & somewhat instantly. Daily tasks such as Social Media, Youtube, and Gmail works smoothly without any issues. Scrolling is fluid. You can, however, multitask smoothly on the smartphone with low-intensity apps. The phone has 3GB/2GB RAM Geekbench & Antutu scores for the Honor Play 3E is low but fine enough, as expected.
The phone stutters when you throw high-intensity apps & games. There will be opening delay & longer loading screen when opening high intensive apps & games. Also, make sure to clear up some RAM before opening big apps & games. In Conclusion, The Honor Play 3E phone is suitable for day to day tasks such as messaging and watching videos. Honor Play 3E Gaming Review
Honor Play 3E comes with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Being a budget smartphone, Honor Play 3E surprisingly performs really good in gaming. Casual games would have no problem playing games on this phone. Games such as Temple Run 2 and Subway Surfers run absolutely smooth with little to no frame drops or lag. The phone does not heat either while playing games for long hours.
However, one can encounter problems while playing games such as PUBG, Asphalt or GTA. High graphics intensive games can run on this phone but on low graphics setting. But still, Honor Play 3E is not recommended to play large games such as PUBG. Honor Play 3E gets quite warm while playing high-end games for long hours. Let us look for the Pros & Con for the Honor Play 3E Gaming Performance –

Honor Play 3E Camera Review
Honor Play 3E being a budget device comes with a 13MP back camera and a 5MP front selfie shooter. Talking about the back camera, the camera has an aperture of F1.8 which is great considering the price. However, surprisingly Honor Play 3E can shoot some really detailed pictures in natural lighting. The camera is idle for clicking pictures for various scenarios such as landscapes, and good lighting shots. Do not expect the Honor Play 3E camera to click pictures with a high amount of details in artificial and low lighting condition.
The camera tends to give out poor color saturation in artificial lighting and low lighting condition. Also, you do get additional features in the camera software such as added filters & various adjustments. Honor Play 3E has poor dynamic range and colors do not look as accurate as it should. However, I was able to get some really stunning shots outdoor. Honor Play 3E can record videos in full HD resolution and one should not expect much from the video camera. The video camera needs proper light in order to record videos with high details.
The front selfie shooter on the Honor Play 3E is good enough to click your selfies with a proper beauty mode that will enhance your picture output. The camera, however, can easily pick some soft & grainy images when not in a proper condition or unfocused. Filters are also available for the inbuilt camera app. You can get more form your Honor Play 3E selfie camera by downloading third-party apps from the play store. Let us now look for the Pros & Cons for the Honor Play 3E camera –
- Stunning shots when taken in daylight
- Added features for more functionality
- Struggles in low lighting condition
- Poor dynamic range & not so accurate colors
- Bad saturation levels
