Apple ECG Feature For Watch Series 4 Now Available to the United States!

Apple launched a new version of its smartwatch ” Apple Watch Series 4″ with three iPhone models at the event in September 2018. In addition, with improved health and fitness tracking, Apple watch can also measure ECG. Which will enable a better control and check over the heath.


Although, the corporate says ECG app in included in watchOS 5 which is shipped with Apple watch of series 4. Further, the app will be available as a part of the watchOS update. In addition, the company is adding this feature on the smartphone with watchOS 5.1.2 update.

Apple watch series 4 ecg feature for United States

The 5.1.2 update will be having an ECG feature. Although it will be a beta testing mode. This feature will be available on the ECG application. The app will help to detect a proper sinus wave and proper heartbeat. If there is any problem in the heart it will detect and indicate that problem such as atrial fibrillation. Atrial fibrillation is a serious heart problem which can lead to heart failure.

Single-Leag ECG

Apple’s ECG application can generate ECG similar to the single-lead ECG. While the user can see this data in the health app of iPhone. In fact, to measure ECG user has to place the finger on the smartphone crown for about 30 seconds. Then watch will check whether the user is possessing a regular heartbeat or not.

ECG for selected Region

Although, this feature will work only in the approved region. It means the ECG feature can only be used in the United State nation with the 5.1.2 update. As the app is only be approved from FDA. They mentioned, that the soon the global launching will take place with an electrical heart sensor in Apple watch series 4.
